Instead of putting her straight in her crib for naps and bedtime like we used to, she now prefers to be rocked for a few minutes. I love this time. I get to hold my girl as she melts into me and calms down for bed. As I put her to bed the other night I was struck by her perfection. Her big blue/gray eyes, soft pink pajamas, and happy smile looked up at me as she settled into her crib. She was holding her stuffed bunny and blanket and looked every bit the little girl I had always imagined.
No doubt about it, she is loved.
Lots of people tease that they've never seen Sloan cry. Well, here's proof. When we were having pictures taken last week the photographer got out a squeaky ball to get the kids to smile. It had the opposite effect on our littlest one. Luckily, she had her big brother there to help calm her down.
